I'm a sucker for Victoria Secret leggings. I've paid as much as $40+ for a pair before, but I'll admit, spending this much on a single pair of leggings makes me sick to my stomach. The other day I hopped on eBay to see if there were any good deals on Victoria Secret leggings and I came across a knock-off seller from Hong Kong. Because I'm leery of international sellers of clothes, I was reluctant at first to buy a pair. Then I thought what the heck, it's only $14, so I ordered a pair. I'm soooooo glad I did. They are available in small, medium, and large. Because I wear x-small and small in Victoria Secret, I went ahead and ordered a small. They fit awesome, but next time I'll probably order a medium because they do run a bit smaller than leggings from Victoria Secret. If you want to order a pair of these leggings, you'll have to do a bit of research on eBay because different sellers sell out of them very quickly. It's rather easy to do the research, though. All you have to type in the eBay search box is PINK LETTER LEGGINGS. These leggings range in pricing. Like right now when I search for them, I come across various pairs for $15.99, $15.80, and $8.51, all of which come with free shipping. I thought it would take forever to receive the leggings because it usually takes orders from China at least a month or more to make it over here to the United States, but surprisingly, I received them in less than three weeks.

http://utmost.org/ Posting by Whitney White Today was a long yet productive day. The weather outside was perfect, complementing a nice get-together with a few other Dream Big Moms (one who is fixing to be a mom for the first time (so exciting!). Get-togethers are always nice because they don't happen too often, and when they do, there's normally at least five to 10 kiddos running around, with precious little Jimmie being the youngest (and completely rotten already). Check him out, ain't he a charmer? And while Jimmie brightened my day, two other little munchkins delighted me with a taste of the simple life -- took me back to Thomas the Train days. Miss Hadley didn't have a good start to the day because her ears were hurting, but she pressed through like a champ while her Bubbie had more energy and conversation than I've had in a long time. Here's Miss Hadley on a better day last week. She's such a doll. After the get-together was over, it was time to pick the boys up from school. In a dire attempt to add a little change to my life without going overboard, the boys and I then headed off to Wally World for hair dye. I wanted to buy every box they had but knew I'd look like a fool when checking out, and in all honesty, buying a bunch of boxes would've been a waste of money because I'd never use all of them and I'd never choose which color I really wanted. So after walking back and forth, back and forth, back and forth down the hair dye aisle, I narrowed my sights on two boxes of color that caught my eyes -- amthyest black and blue. After checking out with the rowdy boys, we headed cross town to let my cuz do my hair. Before we popped the tops to the boxes, though, we were delighted with a special visit from a few friends. I say special visit because the cuz and I don't normally get out and about except to see each other. We prefer staying in our pajamas, working (goofin' off) on the web all day while the kiddos spend time with their second moms, aka school teachers. And when friends come to see us, it makes us feel like we're pretty darn special. We enjoy the company of good-hearted people. Once the special visit was over, the cuz's daughter (currently in her first year at middle-school) asked if she could dye her hair with me. She said I inspired her (don't think I've ever heard that one before). She's so sweet. So, we broke out the necessary supplies, except for the gloves because I lost them (the cuz's hands were and still are completely covered in dye...ha,ha), and we got our tips dyed blue. I honestly was having the kind of day that I didn't even care if it turned out okay ... I just wanted something different. Something to remind me that life is what I make of it, not others. Tonight was the second time I've dyed my tips blue, and both times it's turned out really well. The cuz's daughter looked absolutely amazing and I'm sure all of her friends at school are going to ask about it. As far as the hair dye product we used, it's made by Splat. It's really cheap, and you can buy it at the local Walmart. Lil Lucas and Lil B worked by the shed, breaking bricks for some reason (they're always wanting to tear something up), and riding the heck out of Lil B's dirt bike. Before we could call it a night, though, the Ole Boys in Blue showed up across the street looking everywhere for someone in the cemetery, around a warehouse and in the trees behind a cabin. The weirdest crap always happens around the white house past The Moose. I don't think they found the person, but then again, I honestly don't even know what they were looking for. We were just happy they didn't say anything about the massive bonfire we had going in the backyard. All in all, it was a good day. The kiddos had fun and everyone stayed safe. In today's crazy world, it concerns many mothers whether it's even safe to let the kids go to school. Did you know this nation has endured more than 45 school shootings this year, with the majority of them taking place on our side of the country? And not that one shooting is any worse than the other, but many of them are taking place at elementary schools. And what about the mom who thought it would be completely okay to inject her teen daughter with heroin? Seriously? Is this going to become a common occurrence, too? I refuse to believe this is going to be the future for the younger generation.
As for now, I think I'll head out to the patio to enjoy the warmer weather before I suit up in my North Face and hibernate during the cold days. I've found that simply sitting by yourself from time to time can really clear a mom's head from all the craziness and negativity that interjects its way into our lives. By reflecting on who we are and actually giving a hoot about how we spend our time on earth, our big dreams can become realities. |
